Our son came to visit today, he asked his dad to go with him to watch the new Power Rangers movie. They (husband, 19 year old son and 10 year old daughter) asked me if I wanted to go. It took less than half a second for that answer. Am I eating chocolate syrup out of the bottle in a silent home for the next 3 hours? Yes, indeedy.
If the family asked if I wanted to stargaze outside on top of an old vehicle on a warm summer night, that is an entirely different story. I rarely go to the movies. I don't really enjoy being around other people. There are a few exceptions where I will suck it up and be within the personal space of others, but if I can, I will hide out by myself and read a book. I was an only child, I like my own company, and fuzzy animals. Cuddly, cute and silent animals that relieve themselves outside are prefered. I like trees too, and rivers. I especially have an aversion to children's movies. Less than 1 out of 100 movies marketed toward children is even trailer worthy. When I was a child I did enjoy them, I'm not dead inside. My humor is more of a dry, sarcastic nature. I'm a little twisted and dark, and I prefer to keep it that way. This action packed, superhero thing is not for me, it's just not my cup of tea. Since I mentioned tea it's time to enjoy some with a side of peace.
